Ready For This Jelly

I am adoring the influx of jelly sandals on the high street at the moment. I think they stir up a nostalgic pang in most girls and the great thing is that they are super cheap! My first ever pair of heels were bright green jelly sandals... I couldn't afford 'real' heels with my pocket money, so was ecstatic to find some jelly ones for cheap! Check out my little round-up below of jelly heels and flats from the interweb!

JuJu Jellies - Amazon
Office Visionary heels - Office
Topshop Huey sandals - Topshop
Socks - Topshop

What do you think of the jelly sandal trend?

  1. Oh my first ever pair were pink, heeled and glittery! Childhood nostalgia. Pretty sure my feet are too big and horrible nowadays to pull them off now though haha. Love the top photo.xx

  4. JELLY SHOES!!! Ha ha. Oh, nostalgia. I thought I'd hate them but I actually love the JuJu Babe style... think the higher heel makes them JUST ironic enough. x

  7. wah, I thought we left these in the 90's! I remember owning so many pairs from when I was about 3-8...I'd never wear these again. Oh the memories of blisters *shudders* x

  8. Not gonna' lie, we were too poor to have jelly shoes when I was little. Everyone in my school had them, and I was so jealous of them. But it was fine because even though we had very little money my Mum used to spend hours putting my waist-length hair into amazing artistic updos so all the girls with jelly shoes had nothing on me.
But now I am older, there is nothing stopping me from being the coolest kid in school (except for the fact that I am not in school, but we'll let that one pass...).

    Loooooove the pink JuJu's.

  12. Haha amazing! I wasn't allowed the heeled ones as Mumsy told me I would break my neck. She was probs right to be honest, even at 22 I am lethal in a 2 inch heel! They used to give me blisters though - ankle socks are def a must!

  16. I used to have clear glittery heeled ones - with my knee high white socks and blue summer dress, I was the coolest cat in town! I remember sitting at playime picking at the heels trying to get the glitter out!!

Wont be re-living that memory! I don't think they look right on 'grown-ups'

  22. Definite 90s flashbacks! My first 'heels' were some orange glittery ones!
I got some a couple of years ago off an obscure website, but clearly I was ahead of the trend ;)
No worries, I will happily bring them out again this year!

  23. I've got some of the Topshop ones from a while ago, I love wearing them in the summer (and in the sea) but I never thought to wear socks with them! I think I will definitely try that style :)

  27. I harbour a lot of resentment toward Jelly Shoes. I wasn't allowed them as a child and it has scarred me for life :(

  28. I find them a bit of a weird trend! I was obsessed with them as a kid but I don't know if they would go with anything I own now. x

  29. I love jelly sandals! Those office ones are fab. I usually seek out my jelly shoes in the kid's section (super cheap too but only if you have small-ish feet). x

  30. O.M.G I used to have a pair just like the clear glitter 'juju babe jellies' when I was at school! :') They were almost as cool as pokemon cards! :) Paired with a pair of white frilly socks & blue checked summer dress I was good to go! may just have to buy a pair now, you know, for nostalgic reasons ;) (& because they are still the coolest thing ever!) :) xx

  31. Hahaha i've always had blue or transparent ones my whole life hahaha

  32. Haha I remember owning a pair of bright pink Barbie jelly shoes when I was little ^_^ still a little unsure of incorporating them into my style now but like you said there's definitely a little nostalgic pang when I see them in shops lol xoxo

  33. Jelly shoes have and will always remind me of seaside holidays as a kid - mine were pink and sparkly and my sister's were blue. I remember being hugely jealous of a girl at my school who was allowed to wear her red ones to school... Not sure I'd be able to wear them now without feeling six again but the clear glitter ones in the top picture are definitely tempting me! XX

  34. I had pink glittery ones for wearing in the sea. Wouldn't wear them now, but I'd much rather see people wearing these than Crocs!

  35. I LOVE the jellies trend!Ive worn some for the last two summers (although they haven't been as obvious-they were the browny jujus from Office) but this Summer I am going to properly go for it and probably invest in purple maxis. I always make the mistake of going for a mental colour over black or white and end up regretting it tho! They never go with all my clothes! xx

  36. I didn't know they were back in fashion. I had clear sparkly ones when I was little. I would totally wear them again! I love the cuteness of the sandals and socks! x x

  37. Sorry I thought they were horrid enough the first time ...

    ReplyDelete
  38. They look pretty good on other people but I just can't get over how they felt the first time - sweaty! I had a pink glittery pair and I did just adore them though...

    ReplyDelete
  39. Completely with you on the idea of jelly shoes being a nostalgic thing. I was never allowed healed ones when I was younger - finally get the chance to embrace the once forbidden! Especially when they're so cheap!!

  40. Just can't decide whether its one of those trends I can't bring myself to like cos I did it the first time round! My fav pair when I was young were neon yellow and orange, yum!

  41. LOVE jellies! They create a sense of nostalgia in me considering I'm a 90s kid and they were one of the crazes. I remember having my first pair at the age of 7. I love those Topshop ones, so I might just have to buy those blue Huey ones. They'd look simply great with shorts and a tee!

  42. It's so weird to think i was wearing these about 10 years ago and haven't dared putting my feet in another pair since.. but thats about to change considering that after reading this, i now NEED a pair! They're so funky and i think i need a black pair asap! xx

  43. Gosh, these bring back some memories. I had quite a few pairs when I was little, my favourite were pink sparkly ones.
Its mad how certain trends come back around, I never thought jelly shoes would be one of them!
