I'm all for the little ideas that require a bit of effort and zero funds, so this tutorial is ideal. See the tutorial in all its glory here!
I mean SERIOUSLY, how genius is this idea?! It just makes me think of all the other things you could do with teabags, scissors and thread... I'm thinking cat shaped teabags!
Now I just need to get my boyfriend into drinking tea before Feb 14th (or quickly get a new boyfriend*) and that's my little love token sorted!
Have you got any crafty valentines ideas to share for the financially challenged?

If someone done this for me I think I would marry them, being an obsessive tea drinker and all that!
ReplyDeleteAwww I will definitely be doing this! I love doing little token things on val day, ideal when you're as skint as me and can look lovely and thoughtful instead of just tight. Last year I made my boyfriend eton mess cupcakes and he made me a CD of all my favourite music and our 'injoke' songs of the moment, very cheap but still thoughtful!

I am so excited for Valentines day. Its the first time i've organised something! Im going to be pretty cliche and bake some heart shaped cookies and make a homemade card. Cliches are there for a reason!
ReplyDeleteA romantic cup of tea? That would definitely steal my heart. x

ReplyDeleteAahh so simple and so appreciated! Thanks for sharing, Gem!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable idea! Thanks for sharing this! I need to try it sometime :)
ReplyDeleteLove this Gem! Unfortunately my boyfriend actually hates tea and loves coffee, maybe I could make a heart out of coffee beans??! Hmm maybe not. I made heart shaped cookies last year, but also have done heart shaped salt dough painted with thick pink paint with cute things stamped into it (using cookie cutters and stamps)--- ULTRA CHEAP! Im planning on cutting maps of places we've been into heart shapes and sewing little hearts in red of particular places that remind me of "us"... DAHHH. xxxx
ReplyDeleteOk, cat shaped tee backs, now we're talking. May give that ago for my better half, as he's decided I have turned into a cat and desperately wants one since his elderly cat at home died last year.
