Well our whirlwind visit to Scotland is now over, and I'll be sharing pictures (and perhaps a mini documentary depending on quality of our footage) ASAP!

Today we went to our friend Jen's dance show. She runs her own dance school in Ashford and it was their annual show - Snow White! Some of you may remember me tweeting a little while back about narrating for the show, which we did in the spare room of my flat using Garage Band for Mac. It was highly cringe to hear my story-telling and attempted gags (which went down to varying degrees of success...) in a huge room, but more importantly it was amazing to see all Jen's dancers (ranging from teeny to teenage!) performing. I'm so proud of my pint-sized pal.

Here's what I wore to the matinee show today:

The dress is from Tesco, bought with a voucher they sent attendees of their press show. The shrug is from H&M. I thought it was a bit of a mumsy item to buy, but I've worn it loads since buying it. Nice to have something to cover up the dreaded corned beef arms a bit! The scrummy brogues were a Bexhill charity shop find the other week.

Sooo I'm just spending the rest of the day adjusting to being back home... Cooking a jacket potato, MAYBE unpacking and then watching a movie with Alex later. My finances are sickening, so I will also be doing some panic listing on eBay and organising a blog sale in the coming days!

So what's new with you lot?! Having a good weekend? Had a good fortnight?! I feel so out of the loop!

I FINALLY have some free time now holiday and work experience is out of the way, so cannot wait to vegetate in front of the laptop for days on end catching up on everyone's blogs! Bring on 4pm pyjama wearing and body odour!

  4. I love that dress! I never think of going to Tesco to buy clothes but evidently they can be really lovely. Oh God finances. Luckily it's pay day on Thursday but on my shiteous 'young workers' wage (£3.64 an hour, yes, I know you're jealous) even though I have done 30 hours average a week I am still only getting paid £407 this month, which would be fine if I was a 'normal' situation for my age but I am living with my boyfriend 90 miles away from my family and have to pay rent and occasionally (a lot) eat food. And the worst thing is, the River Island sale starts on Wednesday and my best friends boyfriend is a manager and said he'll try and get us an extra 25% wrist band BUT I HAVE NO MONEY. Anyway, I am ranting on someone else's blog :/

You look stunning as per. And made me wee myself a little, again, as per (it's becoming a bit of a problem). Loveee xxx

  20. The dress is so cute, and I like the shrug I'm always trying to cover up my arms too...wish I wasn't bothered by it, because most people don't care and probably won't notice until you mention it, which I never fail to do.
My weekend was spent priding it up, in the pride clebrations that are happening in Portugal right now, I'm still marvelling at the hangover I didn't have this morning.

  30. I basically live by the 4pm pj wearingness! Would never have guessed your dress was from Tesco, although I have seen a few decent items in Tesco what bloggers have bought. It's one of those places I shop but we only have the small local food ones here. I really like those brogues!

  31. Loving the dress, having watched your vlog, I bet you were awesome narrating.

So wish I could do blog catching up in my PJ's at 4pm. Although my parents are currently away, meaning I can put pj's on before 2100 without being mocked!
