I'm going to break the habit of a lifetime and not rabbit on for paragraphs like I usually do. There's only a few things that need to be said, and they are:
1. Alex and I have had a lovely weekend with our friends Dan and Danielle who came to visit from Brighton. Lot's of Dominos pizza and even more lolz. And attempted harmonising, but the less said about that alcohol-induced cacophony, the better.
2. I bought a wicked cropped biker jacket from Topshop with my 60% uniform discount. Yes, I'm aware this is my third fake leather Topshop jacket, but due to the length of the jacket and its sleeves, this one will be perfect for Spring layering and indoor wear. Whereas when I wear the other two indoors (eg. at work or events) I look a bit strange and/or sweaty.
3. Models Own's Juicy Jules polish is my new fave. Alex bought it for me for Christmas without my instruction, what a great choice! It looks so much more sparkly and holographic in real life, the picture doesn't do it justice! And it was 'opaque' after only two layers! Removing it fills me with fear, but I'll be testing out a Tuesday tip which may be the solution tomorrow.. Stay tuned!
(I can't help feeling that this is essentially still rabbiting, but under the guise of bullet points... Oops!)
Here's the new jacket, I wore it to work on Saturday:
(Dress - Topshop, Socks - Topshop, Belt - Primark, Boots - Charity Shop)
And the nails:
And that is all! Hope you're having a nice Valentines Eve! Does anyone have anything nice planned for tomorrow? We're just having a night in (as ever!) but more on that tomorrow.
Until then! ♥
Your nails! WOW x
ReplyDeleteI like you babbling any how!

Me and my man will just have a lovely home made meal with candle and chat and great music

Joanne xx
Great jacket, nice and light.
ReplyDeleteI have a nice pink models own glitter polish and it's a nightmare to get off so I will be checking back for your Tuesday tip :) x
Your babbling is my favourite! Please continue! Your nails look amazing. I sort of imagine Katy Perry going about with those exact nails. So jealous of your 60% uniform discount!
ReplyDeleteThe jacket is lovely! Such a nice fit!
ReplyDeleteWe're just having a night in and we're going to cook a nice meal together and attempt to make a cheesecake. I'm looking forward to it!

Oh my GOODNESS THE NAILS!! I have some glitter polishes but don't wear them too often because they're so fiddly to apply evenly in the first place and as you mentioned, the nightmare that is removing them.... very excited at the prospect of a good way to remove it!
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit, the pop of print from the socks is something I also love to do!! Fantastic nails as well, they look amazing!!! 60% uniform discount, lucky girl!!
ReplyDeleteBow Dream Nation xx
I was looking at this nail varnish in Boots yesterday, I think I might be making a trip back to Boots!
ReplyDeletex

I'm working (boo) which means I get to watch couples gushing and looking longingly at each other across their table whilst trying to serve them food, haha.
ReplyDeletePaula-Ellen xo
I'm loving both the jacket and the nails! I have a similar polish, the 'mad as a hatter' one by O.P.I, love it!!
ReplyDeleteThat dress looks amazzing on you! xx
ReplyDeleteNice nails!
ReplyDeleteSuch gorgeous nails, they look amazing, like a disco ball! I dread the removal of glitter polishes :s
ReplyDeleteYour new jacket is hot! Also, I am insanely jealous of a 60% discount.x
ReplyDeleteLoving the new biker jacket, it really does look very neat and cropped almost like a cardi. Love the nails! Models Own nail varnish can never do wrong. Your valentines night sounds like mine, night in DVDs & dominos :) x
ReplyDeleteI have been looking for nail polish like that since forever and the only one anyone ever seemed to blog about was an OPI one which I couldn't get my hands on. So glad you've enlightened me that model's own do a similar one too! (:
ReplyDeleteAnd I hope the tuesday tip works, because I have problems with normal nail varnish removal, never mind glittertastic ones!
(: x
well hey there pretty lady! :) the jacket is awesome, and even more awesome you got such a jammy discount on it! Glad you had a nice time with your friends, dominoes = YUM! Your nails are lovely too, whenever I paint my nails glittery I can never stop staring at them :) we're just having a wee quiet one in tomorrow too lass! hope you have a lovely day xx
ReplyDeleteLovely little outfit - particularly the jacket which reminds me of getting one myself. It doesn't bother you that it's pleather does it? The nails are beautiful (such a nice shape too), but glitter nail polish is so hard to get off... sad consdiering they are dazzling :) x
ReplyDeleteMan I miss Topshop uniform, might have to ask Elisabeth to hit me up with some discount. I love your outfit, but especially how you've paired the leggings with socks and ankle boots. I always wondering how to wear leggings with shoes that don't cover up the bottom, as essentially they are just fake tights to me. Lovely nails too, might have to invest in a bit of glitter.
ReplyDeleteyoure right that jacket will be really good for this season...and 60% off i am sooo jealous. wow that is an amazing colour for a guy to pick unaided. keep. him.

ReplyDeleteah, gem, your vocabulary is definitely the best in this little blogging world! i love it! the jacket is gorgeous, really suits you! and as for juicy jules, well, you already know my feelings on that matter! ♥
ReplyDeleteJuicy jules is a buggar to get off but so worth it! One of my models own faves. I look forward to Tuesdays tip x
ReplyDeleteLOVE the jacket. The nails do indeed look somewhat terrifying in removal terms but for now they look so sparkly that I think my brains about to explode.
ReplyDeletexxxxx

ReplyDeletebought!
love the socks with this outfit! im forever sticking to plain grey ones, but im feeling inspired!
I am all over glitter nails right now too! I love the Models own colour! Have you seen the Katy Perry OPI colours? My nails are constantly decked out in pink and blue glitter these days :)
ReplyDeleteADORE that cropped jacket too!!
I love that nail polish, but I always find glitter polishes to be an absolute nightmare to get off.
ReplyDeleteMy weekend has also involved Dominos and not such else, perfect type of weekends.

ReplyDeleteYour nails look amazing - I'm rather jealous.
Although my nails are two-tone at the moment, so are rather nifty too.

you can never have enough leather jackets! i really love those boots and alos the little bit of leopard showing through xx
ReplyDeleteThat nail polish is gorgeous <3.
ReplyDeleteThat nailpolish is INCREDIBLE! I'm always scared of glitter because it is hellish to remove. Can't wait to read about your solution!
ReplyDeleteYou look lovely Gem- who cares how many jackets you have!? You can never have too many!! It's like with black shoes! :) And wowza to your nails, Alex's got a good taste!
ReplyDeleteThe nail varnish looks really pretty. Is it horrible to get off though, like the other glittery polishes from Models Own? They literally destroy my cotton wool pads when I try and take them off!!
ReplyDeletewww.dressingmissdolly.co.uk
Great new jacket and I love the way you've teamed your socks with your leggings. I can never get that right...

ReplyDeleteOooooh, amazing nails!! Love the jacket. I love cropped sleeves on coats/jackets, regardless of the practicality issues.
